Q: How many homes will Alden Place have?
A: The proposed number of homes is approximately 445 single homes or villas in the Cornwall neighborhood and 60 single homes in the Northgate neighborhood.

Q: Who is the builder?
A: Alden Homes is the exclusive builder for Alden Place.

Q: I am 55 but my spouse is not. Are we eligible to live in Alden Place?
A: Yes! We require that one spouse be at least 55 years old.

Q: Are your homes green?
A: Alden Place offers homes that are ENERGY STAR® certified, so you can trust that our homes are truly energy efficient. Not only is an ENERGY STAR home a good environmental decision, but ENERGY STAR homes use substantially less energy, saving you money. To learn more about ENERGY STAR, click here.

Q: What is the process in reserving a site?
A: A lot reservation begins with a deposit of $500 which is fully refundable should you decide not to build. To begin your build, an additional $9,500 is required at the time of your sales agreement.

Q: When will I be able to move in?
A: Depending on your selection, you will be able to move into Alden Place 4 ½ to 5 ½ months after we start to build your new home.

Q: What are the annual taxes for homes in Alden Place?
A: Approximate annual taxes vary, depending on the size of your home and other factors. Taxes range from $2,300 to $3,500 for homes in the Cornwall neighborhood to $4,000 to $6,000 for homes in the Northgate neighborhood.

Q: Are residents allowed to host overnight guests – for example, grandchildren?
A: Absolutely! Our rules governing guests, both short term and long term, are very generous. Our aim is to create a welcoming environment for guests while maintaining our classification as an adult community.

Q: Are pets allowed?
A: Yes. We allow 2 pets per household.  Pets must be accompanied and leashed when outside.

Q: How are the homes heated and cooled?
A: We use natural gas for heating and central air conditioning for cooling.

Q: Who are the utility providers?
A: Natural gas – UGI,  Electric – MetEd, Telephone – Verizon, Cable – Comcast

Q: Do I need an appointment to visit Alden Place?
A: No.  Our models are open for tours Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
